Blue Right By broke his maiden in his third start, a Maiden Special Weight race at Churchill Downs on Saturday, June 19. The $140,000 2009 FTSAUG yearling by Bluegrass Cat – Shades of Grace is owned by Cot Campbell's Dogwood Stable and trained by Dallas Stewart.
Morena Second in Obeah (G3) 06-13-2010
Morena (PER) finished a games second in the $150,000 Obeah (G3) at Delaware Park on Saturday June 12. The six year old mare, purchased privately in early 2010 for Mt. Brilliant Stable LLC, tracked the pacesetter throughout and made the winner Miss Singhsix work for the win. The Mt. Brilliant colorbearer has now started twice for the connections, with a 3rd place in the La Troienne (G3) at Churchill Downs finishing behind the super-talented fillies Unrivaled Belle and Rachel Alexandra. Unrivaled Belle came out of that race to finish second in the Ogden Phipps (G1) with Rachel Alexandra taking the Fleur De Lis (G2) in her next start.
